Clinical Education
Clinical instruction is a vital component of the education of audiology and speech-language pathology students. Through high-quality and dynamic readings, multimedia offerings, and reflective activities, participants will gain a richer understanding of the role of clinical education in graduate programs.
These eLearning Courses will sunset on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. This will be the last date of enrollment with 45 days following to complete courses.
CAPCSD developed this series of four, self-paced, eLearning courses focused on the process of clinical education.
- Foundations of Clinical Education - Modules 1-5
- Effective Student-Clinical Educator Relationships - Modules 1-5
- Feedback in the Clinical Education Environment - Modules 1-5
- Assessing Student Performance - Modules 1-5
- Each course contains five independent modules worth CEU hours.
- Each module may be completed independently of the others.
- Modules contain readings, video tutorials, and interactive learning activities.
- Content is at an introductory to intermediate level.
- Courses meet ASHA's Supervision Requirements for Clinical Educators.
- ASHA CEUs are available with the successful completion of each course module.
- Users have 45 days from the date of purchase to complete the courses.
Access Information
These courses are provided at no cost to CAPCSD member programs. Access to these courses is available with a link provided to all CAPCSD members when they log in to their membership at the top of the Info Hub page.
Member programs are encouraged to share access to these resources with individuals engaged in the clinical instruction of graduate students in on-campus and off-campus sites.
