Program Description / Abstract

The Clinical Educators’ Academy, a new iteration of the Clinic Directors' Bootcamp, extends opportunities for new and experienced leaders in clinical education to grow their knowledge, skills, and network surrounding the topic of clinical education. Participants will spend a day and a half focusing on human-centered leadership as it relates to clinical education in CSD. The keynote will be led by Lucy Leclerc, Ph.D., RN, NPD-BC, and colleagues from uleadership LLC, a global resource in relational leadership and wellbeing. Subsequent sessions will build on the keynote by examining the skills needed to foster well-being, engaged team-building, and productive conflict resolution in clinical education environments. Innovative strategies for managing challenging roles and responsibilities in clinical education programs will be addressed, and participants will construct an ongoing peer network supporting best practices in clinical leadership. This Academy will include three live webinars in the following year to support continued growth and networking among participants.
